As you are aware, we are at the conclusion of a multi-million dollar jail construction project. As a taxpayer and stakeholder, you should demand someone with experience in every facet of the job to manage your investment. Heishman will work with community leaders and mental health professionals to establish quality programs in the jail and to treat inmates as individuals. These will include AA/NA, faith and character-based groups along with 1-on-1 counseling services, parenting and anger management classes.  Many of these programs can be implemented with no cost to the taxpayers by utilizing volunteers and seeking grant funding options.  

The drug epidemic continues to be a huge challenge for Fulton County. Knowing today’s trends and best practices for investigations, Heishman will commit the necessary resources to have an impact in the community. The office will work closely with local, state and federal agencies to identify people who sell narcotics within Fulton County. Efforts will be made to treat both the mindset and the addiction of the user while working with the prosecutor’s office and courts to get those who sell narcotics the sentence they deserve.
